What We Do

Founded in 2011, Theatre of the Beat is a Canadian touring theatre company working to catalyze conversations on social justice and its intersection with the beliefs of the communities in which it finds itself. Learn more about what we do by clicking the button below and scroll down to see what we have coming up this season.

What’s Going On?

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Theatre of the Beat's Barnyard Birthday Bash on Thursday, June 13 has been cancelled. We apologize for the short notice and are grateful for the support we received in anticipation of this event. Refunds have been issued for those who purchased tickets in advance. If you have any questions, contact our Development Manager, Victoria Hudson-Muir at victoria@theatreofthebeat.ca

We’re going to the netherlands

and we need your help!

From June 27-30, 2019 we will be taking #ChurchToo to the 2nd Annual Global Mennonite Peacebuilding Conference and Festival in Elspeet, Netherlands.

To get us there we need to raise $6500 by June 18, 2019. Even with help from the conference we need to raise funds so that we can pay our actors and creative team a fair wage for their work and to cover the costs of transportation. Please donate today so we make this tour.

Please help us bring this important piece of theatre to church leaders from around the globe at this year’s Annual Global Mennonite Peacebuilding Conference.
