CAMILA FARAH - Cast + Costume Designer
Camila Farah (she/her) is a queer Brazilian actor, singer and costume designer. She spends a lot of her time behind sewing machines, and she is honoured to be contributing to this show. ALEXA HIGGINS - Movement Director + Cast
Alexa Higgins (she/her) is an actor, playwright, director, physical theatre creator, and movement director. She is co-Artistic Director of Falling Iguana Theatre, whose award-winning physical theatre productions DIANA, 81 Minutes, and Crane Girl have been performed in various cities across Canada. Alexa has worked extensively across the East Coast, Ottawa, Toronto, and in one unforgettable clown show in Birmingham, UK. Alexa has worked as a movement director and consultant on a variety of projects, and her passion lies in developing a physical language with actors, particularly for new works. She has also worked as an Associate Producer with Theatre by the Bay in Barrie. Her arts training includes an MA in Drama from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Political Science/Theatre) from the University of Ottawa, and the Ottawa Theatre School acting conservatory. Favourite stage credits include Crane Girl (FIT), Sibs (Don't Look Down Theatre), DIANA (FIT), and A Record of Us (Solo Chicken Productions). Alexa is thrilled to be crafting movement for Theatre of the Beat’s newest show Invisible Threads!

EMILY JUNG - Projection Designer
Emily Jung (she/her) is a Korean-Canadian artist and arts worker working with themes around labour (and rest), multilingual arts, social media, hauntology, and eco-dramaturgy. She has a Dora Award in Projection and Scenic Design (2023, co-recipient Echo Zhou), and the Artist Award for Excellence in the Labour Movement at the Mayworks Festival of Labour and the Arts (2024, co-recipient Amanda Lin). Recently seen at the SummerWorks Festival <Ultimate Zone Out> and <유령들의 대화: 축제 by Baram Company>. Her work, <Dead Korean Girl Comedy Show> co-written with Jennifer Park, is being developed in Canada and in Korea in Korean and in English. Her essay, <Korean Seniors Don’t Care for Bingo>, is available online on Choa Magazine.
CEDRIC MARTIN - Playwright & Producer of Invisible Threads + Artistic Director of Theatre of the Beat
Cedric Martin (he/him) is a Toronto-based director, playwright, actor, producer, technician, and designer. Cedric has produced over 15 plays- including 6 of which he wrote or co-wrote. These plays have been performed hundreds of times to thousands of people across Canada and the United States, in large theatres and small intimate venues. His original work has ranged in topics from mental health, abuse, family history, life choices, and healthy masculinity. In addition to working for Theatre of the Beat, Cedric is one of the Co-Artistic Directors of Don't Look Down Theatre Company.
Beyond the stage, Cedric is a passionate advocate for peace. He is frequently invited to engage communities with thought-provoking discussions on contemporary and historical peacemakers, as well as pathways to fostering peace in today’s world. Balancing his artistic endeavours with his commitment to family, Cedric finds fulfillment in his roles as a devoted father to his kids Calia & Ferran, and as husband to Alyse.

CHIN PALIPANE - Lighting Designer
Chin Palipane (he/him) is a Toronto-based Theatre Artist, Technician, and Lighting Designer. He is a proud member of Coyote Collective, the TD of The Assembly Theatre, and a recent addition to the HT team at NEJPC. He enjoys breakfast (at non-breakfast times) and a good cup of coffee or tea. He is excited to work with the talented cast and crew TOTB has assembled and explore the repercussions when these unseen threads are further unravelled.

ZACH PARSONS - Cast
Zach Parsons is a Toronto-based actor, musician, and sound designer.
He's excited to be working with Theatre of the Beat again! Other recent theatre credits include: Ed's Garage, He'd Be Your Mother's Father's Cousin (Theatre Baddeck), The Irish Pub Play (King Black Box Theatre), The Second Life, Journey to the East, and eight prior seasons of Shakespeare by Nature (Tottering Biped Theatre), for which he's both acted and created full musical scores. Film and TV credits include: the upcoming Neagley (Amazon), Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), My Dreams of You (Hallmark), Cows Come Home (Bell Fibe TV1). In addition to acting, he does sound design and composes music for stage plays, audio plays, short films, TV commercials, audio walks, sketch comedy shorts, podcasts, and continues to experiment with more!

MALIA ROGERS - Sound Designer & Musical Score + Development Manager for Theatre of the Beat
Malia Rogers (she/her) is a Nova Scotian actor, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and arts administrator who now makes home in Ontario. Malia holds an MA in Theatre & Performance Studies from York University and is passionate about theatre as a catalyst for critical discussion, for reaching across differences and finding shared humanity, and for effecting social change. As an actor-musician, Malia has performed for Theatre Gargantua, Neptune Theatre and Theatre of the Beat. She is a member of the internationally-touring folk trio Jessica Pearson & The East Wind, and released her debut solo EP Chameleon in 2025 (check out her work here!). In her spare time, she loves crafting, nerding out over instruments, and running alongside the river near her home in Ottawa.

MURILO SALVADOR - Cast + Education Manager for Theatre of the Beat
Murilo Salvador (he/him) is a Brazilian-born actor, singer and applied theatre facilitator based in Toronto. His work is rooted in a deep belief in theatre as a catalyst for social change, shaped by his early experience creating performance-based community initiatives in marginalized neighbourhoods in São Paulo, Brazil. Now working across Canada, he continues to bridge the performing arts and social services, facilitating psycho-educational programs to address urgent social issues present in his community.
Murilo coordinates and leads interactive, drama-based workshops exploring themes of consent, mental health, and community care with Theatre of the Beat. Selected theatre credits include My Time Will Come (Toronto Fringe Festival, 2024), as well as Brazilian productions such as A Janela de Plínio, Era uma Vez, A Hora e Vez de Augusto Matraga. He trained at the School of Theatre at George Brown College (Toronto) and ETA Estúdio de Treinamento Artístico (São Paulo) .
An immigrant artist, Murilo is passionate about expanding diverse voices in Canadian theatre. Outside of the stage, he works closely with vulnerable youth and finds joy in singing, spirituality, good coffee, and long bike rides.

Sukhpreet Sangha (she/her) is a theatre maker who also happens to work as a lawyer. After studying theatre and English at the University of Waterloo, she studied law at Osgoode Hall and questions that decision regularly. She spends her days teaching and practicing at a legal clinic and her nights, well, wouldn't you like to know. She is co-Artistic Director of Informal Upright Theatre Collective.

TARA STREILEIN - Set & Props Designer
Tara Streilein (she/they) is an actor, singer, dancer, and visual artist who is now taking the role of prop artist and set designer. Prop, set and design credits include Untethered; Mindful Mayhem (Village Conservatory); Just Friends (Lavender Theatrical Productions); and her own original musical Grief and Monsters. Originally from Winnipeg, where she’s earned a number of acting credits in both theatre and film, she’s proud to have her first Toronto credit be with Theatre of the Beat.
Tara is a firm believer that with some paint, a hot glue gun and some foam, she can make (and do) absolutely anything.
JOHNNY WIDEMAN - Tour Manager + Founding Member and Creative Communications & Community Engagement Manager for Theatre of the Beat
Johnny Wideman is a playwright, graphic novelist, author, storyteller, and dramaturg. He’s the founder of Full Bodied Short Stories and the Artistic Director Emeritus of Theatre of the Beat. His poetry, short stories, essays, and comics have been published in a variety of journals, magazines, and story collections. He has self-published 3 scripts - Gadfly (2012), Selah’s Song: a Social Justice Folk Muscial (2014), This Will Lead to Dancing (2016), a collection of short stories and poems called To Aid Digestion (2017), a biographical chapbook called Endurance Test: Reflections on the Unconventional Lives of 3 Professional Dancers (2020), and is currently writing a graphic novel called Black Tract. Wideman lives in Stouffville, ON in the Das Farm Haus Community with his partner Leah and friends.

KAY WONG - Creative Producer + Production Stage Manager
Kay Wong (he/him) is a Chinese-Canadian actor, producer, writer, and arts administrator born and raised in Scarborough-Agincourt. A graduate of George Brown Theatre School’s acting conservatory, he’s helped bring shows to life across Ontario and Saskatchewan both as a performer and producer. Selected credits include the Dora Award-winning Romeo and Juliet. And Action (Shakespeare in Action), Living With Shakespeare (Driftwood Theatre), With Fervor Burning (Theatre of the Beat), and Hello, Dolly! (Scarborough Music Theatre).
Most recently, he has begun creation of his first play, The K-Pop Play, and is working under the mentorship of Cedric Martin as Theatre of the Beat’s first Metcalf Performing Arts Intern. As Creative Producer, he pursues his passion of creating more equitable workplaces for artists and is excited to be on the road for Invisible Threads learning how to make accessible, affordable touring theatre.
